About Me
Business:
Bridget Coila has been freelance writing
since 1998. She has written for over twenty five different publications,
including many who have contracted for multiple articles. She has developed a
reputation for quality writing and an ability to meet tight deadlines. She also
has a degree in Cell and Molecular Biology and has become an expert on writing
health, pet and science articles. She has been featured in national magazines
focused on these areas, as well as producing articles on a wide range of other
subjects .
Personal:
I live in Burien, Washington, a community in
the Seattle area with my husband Rick Coila and our three cats. I was born in a
suburb of New Orleans, Louisiana and grew up in that area. I maintain ties to
the New Orleans area and try to visit frequently.
I frequently speak on panels at Science
Fiction and Fantasy conventions, discussing topics such as the potential for
life on Mars and how to develop an ecology from the ground up. In my spare time,
I can often be found doing outdoor activities, including rollerblading, rock
climbing, hiking, kayaking, and sailing a two-masted schooner.
I also like to travel and have visited 27
states, two Canadian provinces, the Caribbean island of St. Lucia and Paris,
France.
